Sometimes families come to us because they have just started their journey and don't know where to begin.
Others have been navigating services for years but are facing a new challenge, a safety concern, or a family crisis.
Wherever your family is in the journey, you don't have to know exactly what you need before reaching out.
That's why we're here.
The Rockin’ Safety Initiative helps families better understand available resources, build knowledge and confidence, address safety concerns, and connect with supports based on their individual family's needs.
💙 Where Every Family Starts
Every family participating in the Rockin’ Safety Initiative begins with our required:
6-Week Safety & Caregiver Training Program
Cost: $250 per family
Over six weeks, families receive information, education, guidance, and support to help them better understand and navigate the systems and resources available to them.
Topics may include:
• IEPs and educational supports
• SSI
• PUNS
• DORS
• Respite and family supports
• Home and community safety
• Wandering and elopement prevention
• Emergency preparedness
• Available community resources
• Caregiver support
• Planning for your family's next steps
This course also gives us an opportunity to get to know your family.
After learning more about your family's situation, we can help determine whether additional Rockin’ Safety Initiative supports may be appropriate.
Not every family will need or receive every support.
🏠 Home & Elopement Safety
For families concerned about wandering, elopement, or safety in and around the home, Rockin’ may provide additional safety education, individualized safety planning, resources, and safety equipment based on the family's needs.
Safety Support Kit
Cost: $100 per family
Safety supports may include tools and resources intended to help families improve safety and emergency preparedness.
🏊 Adaptive Swim Safety Program
Water safety can be especially important for individuals who wander or are drawn to water.
Our Adaptive Swim Safety Program provides an opportunity to build greater comfort, confidence, and important skills around water in a supportive environment.
$50 per class
$300 for the 6-week program
Participation is based on the individual's needs and program availability.
🐴 Therapeutic Horseback Riding Program
Our Therapeutic Horseback Riding Program provides individuals with a supportive recreational experience.
Riding may help support confidence, balance, coordination, focus, sensory regulation, and meaningful participation in a community activity.
$50 per class
$300 for the 6-week program
Participation is based on the individual's needs and program availability.
💜 Support for Families in Crisis
Sometimes a family needs more than information and resources.
Families experiencing an immediate crisis may be considered for short-term in-home respite or other individualized support through the Rockin’ Safety Initiative.
Crisis support is determined based on the family's circumstances, program capacity, available resources, and funding.

We believe families should understand program costs before applying.

Additional support may have separate costs depending on the service provided.
💜 Scholarship Assistance
We understand that the cost of services can be difficult for families.
Scholarships, sponsorships, grants, payment arrangements, and community funding may be available to help eligible families access Rockin’ supports.
You do not need to complete a separate scholarship application.
When you complete the Rockin’ Safety Initiative Application, you will be asked whether you would like to request scholarship assistance.
If you select Yes, you will continue to a short scholarship section as part of the same application.
Families requesting financial assistance will be placed on our scholarship waitlist.
Scholarship assistance is based on individual family need and available funding and is not guaranteed.

Tell us what's happening with your family, your biggest concerns, and anything you would like us to know.
You do not have to choose which services you think you need.
Step 3
Our team will review your application and contact you about the next steps.
Step 4
If you requested scholarship assistance, your request will be considered based on your family's needs and available funding.

Why It Matters
Sometimes a family is just beginning their journey and doesn't know where to start.
